What does it mean to be a Goddess?
Goddess Where Are You?
As we can see, the definition is broad. So according to you … Is a Goddess Vibrant, Vivacious, Lovely, Artistic, Linguistic, In Control, Confident, Chaotic, Psychic, Magic, Hypnotic, Sexy, Virginal, Majestic or Wild? Is She Loving, Selfish, Happy, Angry, Helpful, Vengeful, Sweet, Serious or Playful? Does She sit on a throne or is she running through the forest? Is She Light or Dark? Voluptuous or Slim? Is a Goddess Young, Older or In-between?
When you think of a God, do you immediately think of a Grey Bearded man in the clouds or a tanned Adonis like Sexy Specimen of a Being? Is he Loving, Wise, Powerful, Intelligent, Creative, Controlling, Playful, Sexy, Angry, Sweet, Charming, Athletic, Fierce, Vindictive, Jealous, Confident, Young or Older?
Just like the long list above, if you asked a large group of beings, some answers would be the same as your own, some similar and some different. Combined, you would have a long list of attributes. Coupled with the meanings in the dictionary, it’s safe to say that a Goddess is not only how she is perceived, but more importantly, a Goddess is uniquely Herself! However she appears and whatever her traits, a Goddess is always True to Herself! Likewise, a God is True to Himself and not what society dictates he should be! In the same manner, you can Let your Inner Goddess out of the cage you've kept her locked in and set yourself free!
What or Who is Your Inner Goddess?
To help understand and absorb, let's take a brief side step. Some of us have a close relationship to our Inner Child. It is that part of us who is playful and youthful, who sees the world and each moment with awe and adventure. We will delve into our Inner Child more later, because she is important too and some don’t access her as quickly or as often as they should. Some keep her inside, because they fear they will appear childish to others. Just like there is a difference between childlike and childish, there is a difference between confidence and arrogance. Likewise, fearing being labelled as arrogant, many women don’t allow their Inner Goddess to see or be seen. Whichever face your Inner Goddess has, she deserves to come out and play.
Could You Really Be a Modern-Day Goddess?
Yes! Of course, you can!
You already are! It’s time to let her out!
Not convinced? Think of yourself in terms of the Universe. You are a body of energy particles within the flow of Universal Life Force Energy, which pulsates through everything and everyone. Likewise, the many forms of Goddesses are all aspects of the Divine Feminine, often called The Goddess, the Source of all life.
Still not convinced? As women, for most of our lives, we are reminded every month, that our bodies create life. That is a Huge Wow! We Create life! We certainly are Goddesses! Embrace it!
Consciously connecting to the Goddess, connects us to our own spiritual essence, regardless of our faith or belief system. It helps us uncover the wisdom inherent in our souls. Connecting to the Goddess Within helps us to acknowledge and honour both our Shadow Self and Higher Self, encouraging us to keep walking ahead. It enables us to appreciate our strength and empower us to stand up for ourselves. Connection helps us feel loved, even when we are alone. We are able to feel love for others, even if it’s not expressed towards us.
Each one of us has the ability to release the Goddess that resides within. The more you connect with your Inner Goddess, the more content you will be, because you will love yourself more and see your place on this Earth with vibrant esteem.
The more you love yourself, the more you realize that what others think of you is none of your business. You will understand and accept others more. When you don’t understand, it won’t matter. You will be able to release the hold of guilt, anger, resentment and welcome forgiveness and harmony, creating inner peace.
The more you connect with your Inner Goddess, the more love you will receive from others. With confidence to express your thoughts and desires, you will start to walk your talk, and know when best to keep it to yourself. Your relationships will be real, your love life true and your sex life will be hot! Plus, that inner glow will become outer beauty … Bonus!
When you liberate your Inner Goddess, you will be driven to follow your passions and make your dreams your reality. The more meaning and purpose there is in everything you do, the more you walk your path, the happier you will be and the smoother your life will flow.
When you ignite the energy of your Inner Goddess, the more you will stand strong, and the more opportunities will come your way. Energy, Attraction and Synchronicity become tools in your “bag of tricks” rather than a Jungian concept.
For men, connecting to the Goddess helps them to release their need to have total control and allows them to surrender to the moment. They are able to honour their own need for love and their ability to give it. It helps them see compassion as a strength, instead of weakness. A man who embodies and express this balance, is the kind of man who makes the “Oh My God Yes List”.
Around the Globe and Across Time
When we look across many cultures, we can see the many names of Goddesses, from Venus, the Roman Goddess of Love, to Zhinu, the Chinese Stellar Goddess of Relationships. Unless you've been living under a rock, you will know a few. When we span time, we discover that for millennia, women and men have called upon particular Goddesses to inspire or guide them, for reasons or seasons. Sometimes it’s easier when we admire something in another, than to see it within ourselves.
Oh My Goddess, Where Are You?!
What happened? Where did she go? Who? You ask. The Goddess within you. That’s who!
Is she lost within? Or is she gliding in and out of the moments of your life?
For some, it can feel either impossible or ridiculous to feel like a Goddess in modern times. Many people only associate Goddesses with Ancient Mythology, like Aphrodite, the Greek Goddess of Love. Others may recognize a Goddess within women like a Hollywood Movie Star. Some think, Yes, there are everyday women who walk among us, who clearly see it within themselves and confidently shine it outwardly.

What does a Goddess have to do with Happiness?
Just like the Divine Feminine represents the Source of all life, you are the creator of your own life. It is you, who chooses to be the passenger or the driver. Just like a man can choose to be the frog or the prince, you may choose between feeling like a bird in a cage or a Goddess. Your Inner Goddess is your inner essence and if you feel stuck in your head, then honouring yourself holistically is your key to personal freedom.
A note for any males reading this: Where we delve is more about essence and less about gender. When we do dive feminine specific, we welcome you into the realm of understanding. For men to accept traits within themselves that they previously judged as feminine, will ignite their strength. Men who are willing to love and honour, support and empower women, are the ones invited to join us on our quest. To us, the only thing sexier than being an empowered woman, who oozes Goddess energy, is a man who ignites the Goddess within to come out and play. Afterall, a happy Kingdom has a King and Queen, sitting side by side.
Some women pursue this quest discreetly, while others outwardly express their desire to align to their Inner Goddess. Some seem to be doing it easily. Ignited, they take their dreams and turn them into their reality. You might feel others have taken your dreams and there aren’t any left in a finite pile of dreams. That’s a pile of crap and just shortage conscious thinking, because there is room for us all.
I know many may be thinking, “Hey Sister, I keep lighting it, but the flame keeps going out!” Many of us have been there ten too many times, so you’re not alone on that path. Keep walking. As Zig Ziglar, American author said, “People say that motivation doesn’t last. Well, neither does bathing, which is why we recommend it daily!” We will guide you on the many ways you can keep the flame burning. With practice and focus, comes clarity and ease. Yes, it does get easier. Much easier and much quicker, if you allow yourself to build momentum.
If you’ve been waiting centuries to light your fire, you will be inspired to get your butt into gear, to stop complaining about it and take your dreams by the horns. Why?
