How to get your man to watch “Chic Flicks”

There are ways to turning a snoring man

into a man watching a movie with you.

There is a very simple way and then there is the smart way. Yes, I’ll confess with pride that I love “Chic Flicks”. Yes, I’m well aware that it’s not cool to admit it. I know that most modern, independent women express they don’t like them. I’m more than conscious that “Chick Flicks” are predictable

BUT

I’m also aware of the importance of feeling good and the powerful impact that hopeful, faithful, positive energy has on ones ability to manifest positive things in ones life. Bring it on! I say.

Have you ever watched “The Adjustment Bureau” starring Matt Damon and Emily Blunt?

If you haven’t watched it yet, go watch it now and come back.

Released in 2011, I still use is as a way to connect, confuse and then convince men to watch “Chick Flicks”. Read on to find out how …

Classified as an Action Thriller on the movie’s official website and as Fantasy, Romance, Sci-Fi by IMDB, everyone I know who has watched it has loved it … regardless of gender, sexual orientation, social or economic status.

Women and men alike adore Matt Damon. He has that sexy boy-next-door look that women dreul over and men aren’t too intimidated by. I tell men before watching the movie, that it’s a thriller. They are so captivated by the clever storyline that they often don’t see the heavy theme of love.

I’m a thinker and love conversing … yes I hear my friends saying “a little too much” … and after a great movie, I love to critique. I discuss the themes of the movie;

The "Big" Theme – Big Brother is Watching! There is the discussion over whether Big Brother is the Government, Aliens or God and how the writers are so clever in leaving it open to interpretation to please areas of belief. The theme of Control, which can be opened to many levels – Government control, religious control, employers, friends, the control of our hormones and heart and of course self control.

Then the theme I like to introduce last … when my man is so comfortable and enjoying the intellectual and analytical discussion of the arts ... by this time, I am highly turned on by the energy of this discussion ... Then I introduce the "Love Conquers All" theme!

“You know it’s basically a Chick Flick!” I always add.

“No it’s not!!” is usually the firm reply. The other reply is a silent look of panic.

He may try to fight it, but the “Love” is there! Boy meets girl. One becomes obsessed with the other. In this case it is him. He chases her, he captures her heart, there are obstacles and then in the last 5 minutes …. Even IMDB have classified it as such!

“But it’s not a Chick Flick!” he almost cries.

Try not to smile from ear to ear when you see your man’s face in shock and when he says in a softer, defeated voice, “But it’s not a typical Chick Flick!”

This is the moment girls. This is when you move closer and in your most sweet, intelligent and understanding voice, you say, “I know! And you loved it, right? It’s a great movie! Matt Damon is so cool and Emily Blunt is so sexy.” Then move in and give him a kiss and say, “You should trust my movie choice from now on and don’t freak out if I choose a so-called “Chick Flick!”

With love in the air and wrapped in the essence of surrender, the passion in the bedroom that night will be electric! A Win-Win situation, I say!

With movies like ‘How To Lose A Guy in 10 Days’ and ‘What Happens in Vegas’ out there, it’ll be no time at all before your man won’t mind intermittent Romantic Comedies. And if all else fails, use the simple method … you know, dangling the bait …. sex!

Important Note:

If you’re a switched on woman who is in touch with herself, dangling the bait should be a win-win situation! If you’re not enjoying sex with you’re partner … Is it him or is it you or is it him and you? Those are important topics for another time! I’d love to hear from anyone who has used this Action Thriller technique. Tell us what movie you used.
